Screen print edition from tipBerlin

Heinrich Zille is the forefather of Berlin drawing. Like no other, he captured on paper the spirit, quirks, misery, and humour of Berliners, both men and women.

The contemporary illustrator Henning Wagenbreth has reinterpreted Zille's drawing "Children of the Street" (1910) and, with his own visual approach, drawn a bridge between Zille's times and the present: "I adapted this drawing because it's not funny (...) It's dark. The drawing leaves so much open (...) An abyss opens up, a deep black hole."

This screen print can also be purchased as part of the Zille collection.
